Al Arabiya, citing The Wall Street Journal, reported that Israeli intelligence claims Iran has relocated thousands of uranium enrichment machines into tunnels inside Mount Pickaxe (also known as Jabal al-Faas).
According to The Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. and Israeli officials, Tehran transferred the equipment into the mountain following the 12-day war in 2025, during which Iran’s nuclear facilities were subjected to extensive U.S. and Israeli airstrikes.
The report states that moving the equipment underground has raised concerns that Iran may be preparing to resume its nuclear activities away from international oversight. It also says Tehran sought to protect its remaining equipment from potential future attacks and destruction.
