Mawlawi Abdul Shakoor Haqqani, acting head of the Afghan Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, met with Mirbek Bakitovich, head of the Fourth Political Department at Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the Afghan Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, the meeting focused on strengthening political, economic, and cultural cooperation between Kabul and Bishkek, as well as expanding bilateral trade and transit.

Mr. Haqqani stressed the importance of issuing visas to Afghan traders and truck drivers to help facilitate trade and strengthen commercial ties between the two sides.

The Kyrgyz side reaffirmed its commitment to further expanding bilateral relations and pledged continued economic, trade, and humanitarian cooperation with Afghanistan.
