The Ministry of Industry and Commerce says that the ministry’s deputy minister, Mawlawi Ahmadullah Zahid, has traveled to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, at the head of a delegation.
According to the ministry, Mr. Zahid will participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF 2026) and, on the sidelines of the event, will meet with officials, investors, and business representatives from various countries.
Representatives of Afghanistan’s Chamber of Commerce, along with a number of Afghan businesspeople, are also expected to attend the forum.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce stated that it hopes this visit will yield positive results in promoting Afghanistan’s economic potential and attracting investment.
