The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice and Hearing of Complaints reported that moral enforcers prevented the marriage of a 15-year-old girl to a 60-year-old man in Muqur district, Ghazni province.
The ministry noted the girl’s family had arranged her marriage to the 60-year-old man in exchange for a large sum of money, but moral enforcers intervened and prevented the marriage from taking place.
Meanwhile, moral enforcers in Ghazni also prevented the forced marriage of a widowed woman in Andar district.
