According to a report by I24 News, during a recent cabinet meeting, Netanyahu warned cabinet ministers that Israel might be forced to face Iran on its own, without American backing.
Sources said that, in response to Netanyahu’s warning, Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir also cautioned ministers that several agreements between the United States and Iran, which are reportedly moving toward finalization, could have very negative consequences for Israel.
He added that there are concerns Israel could find itself in a direct conflict with Iran without U.S. support and diplomatic cover.
