The National Statistics and Information Authority reported that 8,560 foreign nationals entered and exited Afghanistan during the first three months of the 1405 solar hijri year, through both airports and land border crossings.
According to the data, 4,568 foreign nationals, including 191 women, entered the country during this period, while 3,992 others, including 121 women, left Afghanistan.
The figures show that 4,503 nationals were registered entering through land border crossings, while 65 entered via airports.
The highest number of arrivals was recorded through the Nimroz border crossing, as well as through land border crossings and Herat province airport.
The report also notes that Afghanistan has experienced improved countrywide security and stability under the current governance after years of disruption, with the tourism sector showing signs of recovery in recent years.
