The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation signed six agreements with partner organizations, securing $1.048 million in aid for returnees.
The ministry said the funds will be allocated across Kabul, Nangarhar, Kunar, Daikundi, Bamyan, Paktia, Kandahar, Herat, Jawzjan, Baghlan, Kunduz, and Nimroz provinces. The support package includes permanent housing for returnees as well as food and non-food assistance.
Officials added that refugees have already benefited from aid provided by multiple government and private institutions, and that the relief effort remains ongoing.
