Pakistani military regime’s media outlets reported that Islamabad court has sentenced five of the regime’s critics to two consecutive life sentences on charges of “digital terrorism.”
The verdict was handed down in absentia to Adil Raja, Saber Shakir, Wajahat Saeed, Moeed Pirzada, and Haider Mehdi.
Along with the double lifetime imprisonments, the court imposed fines of 1.5 million Pakistani rupees on each of the regime’s critics.
It is worth noting that the regime has previously taken similar measures against its critics.
A few days earlier, a court sentenced Imran Khan, the leading critic of the ruling party and the regime, to 17 years in prison.
