Pakistan’s Express Tribune reported that around 32,000 police officers brought in from remote areas of northern Punjab to prevent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from holding a long march have been deployed at various locations across Attock district and are facing severe shortages of basic facilities.
The officers are reportedly struggling with a serious lack of toilets, insufficient drinking water, and poor-quality food.
Meanwhile, it is anticipated that the PTI’s upcoming protest could be unprecedented, with numerous clashes and casualties potentially occurring between police and protesters during efforts to prevent the demonstration.
