The Pakistani Taliban movement said its fighters carried out a series of separate attacks a day earlier, leaving 29 Pakistani soldiers killed and wounded.

According to the movement, the attacks took place in multiple locations including Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, as well as Tank, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, North Waziristan, and Bajaur in

The movement said the deadliest attacks took place in Tank and Kohat. In Tank, 13 soldiers were killed on the spot, several others were wounded, and one military vehicle was destroyed.

The Pakistani Taliban also said it ambushed Pakistani military forces and police in the Lachi area of Kohat, where at least 13 people were killed and wounded.

The group further said the bodies of the dead soldiers, along with the wounded and damaged vehicles, remained on the ground until morning.

Pakistani military authorities have not yet issued any comment on the claims.
