Voice of Hindukush sources in North Waziristan report that Pakistani Taliban officials convened their annual consultative meeting in the Mir Ali district, specifically for matters concerning North Waziristan. The gathering focused on the implementation of the movement’s policies, obedience to the leadership, exchange of views, and key discussions on the group’s military and economic progress.

According to the source, the meeting was chaired by Haidar, the designated official of the Pakistani Taliban for North Waziristan. The meeting also addressed the Pakistani government’s houses demolition and harassment campaign targeting Pakistani Taliban members; Participants discussed taking prompt and decisive action in response to it, by destroying homes belonging to individuals employed within the Pakistani government’s security institutions.

The source added that Maulana Abrar Wazir, head of Dawat and Irshad (Preaching and Guidance) for North Waziristan, addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of unity and piety. He also stressed the need for acquiring military training and combat tactics.

Additionally, Dawat and Irshad officials issued key recommendations to their associates, urging Pakistani military and security personnel to abandon their positions and join the ranks of the Pakistani Taliban.
