The Panjshir Provincial Governor’s Office has announced that 3,357 carats of newly extracted emeralds were sold for a total of $332,450 during the province’s eighth auction of the year.
According to the statement, both local and international investors participated in the auction, with a notable presence of young entrepreneurs from Panjshir among the buyers.
The statement highlighted that the continued extraction of precious stones is boosting commercial activity and creating new business opportunities across the province.
Provincial officials also emphasized ongoing efforts to expand employment across various sectors, aiming to provide more job opportunities; particularly for the youth.
