Kazakh media have reported that representatives of Central Asian countries and the European Union held a meeting in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, where they discussed the situation in Afghanistan, its impact on regional security, and the expansion of international cooperation.

Sources said that the participants emphasized the ongoing developments in Afghanistan, its economic and social progress, and the importance of expanding transit corridors.

According to the information available, the participants noted that Afghanistan can strengthen trade links between Central and South Asia and enhance connectivity with Europe.

At the same time, the representatives of the participating countries expressed support for the United Nations’ coordinating role and the continuation of humanitarian and educational assistance to Afghanistan, while reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cooperation among regional countries.
