Arab media, quoting Fox News, have reported that Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s last monarch, has begun holding meetings with members of the U.S. Congress to discuss possible scenarios for a transitional phase in the event of regime change in Iran.

According to the report, the discussions focus on what the situation might look like if Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is removed from power.

Pahlavi, who currently lives in the United States, has close ties with Israel and is a vocal critic of the current Iranian regime.

He has recently urged the Iranian people to rise up against the ruling regime.
