On Saturday morning, Russian forces launched extensive missile and drone strikes on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, and several other major cities, targeting power facilities, military-industrial centers, and other critical sites.

According to reports, the strikes used missiles such as Iskander, Kh-22/32, Zircon, and Kinzhal, along with Shahed drones.

Initial reports suggest that the strikes in Kyiv left at least one person dead and four to five others injured, while in Kharkiv, at least 11 people, including children, sustained injuries.

The strikes also caused widespread power outages affecting thousands of households in Kyiv.

Sources report that the attacks took place shortly after the conclusion of talks between Russian, American, and Ukrainian representatives, which were mediated by the United Arab Emirates.
