The spokesperson for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Enayatullah Alokozai, told the media that around 30 million SIM cards have so far been legally registered in the country.
He added that there are currently more than 33 million active SIM cards in Afghanistan, and nearly 95 percent of the registration process has been completed.
He further stated that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is carrying out continuous and serious monitoring to ensure the proper implementation of the process.
