The Media Office of the Balkh Provincial Police Command stated that personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department, during a series of intelligence-led operations, arrested a six-member fraud ring in Mazar-i-Sharif city.
According to the information provided, the group was selling counterfeit wristwatches to the public under the names of well-known brands. They were identified and apprehended by security forces.
Sources said that the suspects would first purchase watches at low prices from shops in the city, then prepare fake invoices or documents for them, and subsequently sell them to people at much higher prices.
