The Standards and Quality Authority reports that it has blocked the entry of two shipments of substandard construction materials into the country through the Sheikh Abu Nasr Farahi border crossing.
According to the authority, the rejected consignments included 58.1 tons of tiles that did not meet national standards.
The authority added that, through effective management of quality control procedures at the country’s border crossings, it continues to prevent the import of substandard goods on a regular basis.
