Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance has announced that since the beginning of 2022, the country’s total public debt has risen by $111.01 billion, increasing from $97.96 billion to $208.97 billion.
According to a report by the TASS news agency, the majority of this debt has been obtained from external lenders, particularly the European Union and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
It was stated that war-related expenditures, budget deficits, and the need for economic support have been the main factors behind the increase in Ukraine’s government debt.
