Yesterday, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced the cancellation of rewards on three leaders of the Islamic Emirate, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, Hafiz Yahya Haqqani and Hafiz Abdulaziz Haqqani. These rewards had been placed years ago with the aim of capturing or killing them.
The announcement of these rewards, aimed at providing justice for victims, was made by the U.S. Department of State in 1984, under which important individuals worldwide were targeted through money, privileges, and designated significant rewards.
Getting off this list is difficult because it requires the approval of U.S. intelligence and security agencies (CIA and FBI), the State Department, and the Department of Justice, confirming that the targeted individual is no longer a threat to the U.S. Diplomatic relations, national interests, political objectives, and other reasons are what lead to individuals being added to or removed from the list.
For example, one of the individuals recently removed from this list by the United States was Syria’s new ruler, Ahmad al-Shara, whose $10 million bounty, placed in early 2024, was announced to be revoked.
Yes! For Afghanistan, this was not just an announcement, but behind it was the preliminary green light for a structured diplomacy, clearly indicating that Afghanistan is capable of taking innovative steps in its political stance and that the caretaker government can normally initiate political and diplomatic relations with the world as an independent country.
Why this announcement was made after several years of delay, what its consequences will be, and what points the parties should pay attention to, we will analyze here.
After the Doha agreement with the Taliban and the subsequent withdrawal from Afghanistan, America somewhat neglected Afghanistan and chose a long silence regarding the delivery of good and evil. It was only enough for them to figure out how to bring their Afghan-like servants into their embrace, whom they had nurtured well and trained in their own way for the long term.
America spent millions of dollars for this purpose, part of which was also used under the name of humanitarian aid for the expansion and employment of their innovative organizations, so that on one hand, Afghans would remain addicted to imaginary charities in the whirlpools of unemployment, and on the other hand, their collected fund would return to their own mafia gangs (organizations) through their own treasury, which in general was no remedy for the pain of Afghans and Afghanistan.
But the United States conducted this diplomacy under the leadership of Joe Biden in the elections, leading to the downfall of the Democratic Party, and the new leadership’s compliance seemed like an unseen burden. So, as is customary with the powerful, they first mocked the withdrawal process initiated by the previous ruler and then, alongside the recovery of remaining possibilities, repeated ominous hints of returning to the legendary Bagram Airfield; where they welcomed the arrival of their addicted puppets with open arms, and Trump was remembered as the ruler of the imagined fantasy world.
The American rulers were aware of the reality because they had settled accounts with the Afghans on the scale of power for 20 years and, after testing all the secrets on the path to victory, had still ended up failing.
Here, the caretaker government, whose policy was clear and evident to everyone in practice, sought positive relations with the countries of the world in light of a balanced policy. Therefore, the American side also tightened the reins of diplomacy. For the first time, alongside Zalmay Khalilzad, it sent a high-ranking delegation to Kabul for negotiations. As a gesture of goodwill, the Afghan rulers handed over a detained American prisoner to them, to demonstrate that Afghans want positive relations with all parties in light of national interests. On the other hand, it mocked the neighboring country’s sycophantic policy, which involved selling innocent people to the United States for a small profit to please the White House.
As a result of this interaction, the United States recently removed three high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate from the list of rewards and announced the cancellation of the rewards imposed on them. These officials were not ordinary people; they had shed blood of the United States and its allies, targeted them in their most secure havens, and with full composure, had thwarted their mischief in Afghanistan.
Why did the United States take this action?
Although the Afghan puppets in exile had been tested for 20 years, the United States waited even longer and expanded them from every angle. After a full three years of waiting, the world saw that 100% of Afghanistan’s geography was under the control of the caretaker government, and despite the full political and intelligence support of the international community, the opposing factions could not create a tense atmosphere in Afghanistan or present an alternative to the current government.
The opponents of the caretaker government, even when appearing on any international stage, not only failed to unite internally but also, due to their strong commitment to foreign interests and the lack of a national stance, their gathering resulted in further division. Therefore, it seems that the United States also finds further expansion to be a futile endeavor.
Since the world, especially the United States, has no other option but to develop relations with the caretaker government of Afghanistan in the region and grant it diplomatic recognition, it is gradually taking steps to open a new chapter in warming relations.
This will be a severe blow to the wicked elements, countries, and organizations in the region that have directly and covertly tried to keep the relations between the Islamic Emirate and the world cold. It is also clear to everyone that no party will lose in an impartial and independent Kabul, given Afghanistan’s geography as an important economic crossroads for the region and the world.
The final point: The Jews and, broadly speaking, the infidel world seek multifaceted goals before taking any step and then putting them into practice. Therefore, it is necessary to make good use of the green lights from the international community in such a way that it facilitates the political journey, does not compromise independence, maintains balance in relations with all parties, and achieves the goal in this unity.
