The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs announced that, during the regular meeting of the Procurement Commission chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, 15 projects worth 4.2 billion Afghanis were approved.
According to the source, a total of 31 projects had been presented for approval in line with the agenda, of which 15 projects were approved and seven were amended.
The approved and amended projects include the completion of geotechnical studies for the Zardalu Dam in Ghazni province, the construction of a 14-kilometer road at Hairatan Port in Balkh province, the construction of the Kabul–Logar road from the end of the first lot to Sang-e-Naweshta, the construction of public hospitals in Faryab, Ghazni, Daikundi, Badghis, Bamyan, and Khost provinces, as well as the completion of remaining works on electricity transmission and distribution projects in various provinces.
The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs also stated that the approved projects will be funded by the Afghan government.
