U.S. President Donald Trump says he postponed an attack that was scheduled to be carried out against Iran on Tuesday at the request of Arab leaders.

Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social that he temporarily halted the action following requests from the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the President of the United Arab Emirates.

He added that serious talks are currently underway and that U.S. allies believe there is a possibility of reaching an agreement that would be acceptable to Washington.
