International media, citing South Korea’s intelligence agency, report that North Korea plans to send additional forces to Russia before the beginning of July this year.
These remarks come as Russia’s Security Council chief, Sergey Shoigu, during a visit to Pyongyang, announced that North Korea would dispatch military engineers and technical personnel to assist in the reconstruction of Russia’s Kursk region.
So far, Russian and North Korean officials have not publicly commented on the matter.
It is worth noting that North Korea has already sent thousands of troops to support Russia in the Ukraine war, and according to reports, they are currently engaged on battlefronts against Ukrainian forces.
