The United Nations office in Afghanistan has released a report on the recent conflict along the hypothetical Durand Line between Afghanistan and Pakistan, stating that the Pakistani side targeted civilians inside Afghanistan.

According to the report, Pakistani military fire resulted in the deaths of 17 civilians and the injury of approximately 346 others in the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province.

The UN report further states that, in addition to Kandahar, Pakistani forces also targeted Afghan civilians along the Hypothetical Durand Line in Khost and Paktika provinces during the recent clashes.

It is worth noting that after Afghan forces inflicted heavy casualties on the Pakistani side, Pakistan reportedly began targeting civilian populations.
