Reuters reported that the United States has imposed new travel restrictions on its citizens because of the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Under the new measures, US citizens must spend at least 21 days in a third country before they are allowed to travel to the United States from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

According to the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Ministry of Health, the country has recorded 1,926 confirmed Ebola cases and 702 deaths.
