The Disaster Management Authority, based on forecasts from the Meteorological Department of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation and reputable international organizations, said that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall, strong winds, thunderstorms and lightning, and flooding in Kapisa, Panjshir, Paktia, Khost, Logar, Badakhshan, Nangarhar, Kunar, and Nuristan provinces.
According to meteorological forecasts, rainfall in the aforementioned provinces is expected to range from 10 to 45 millimeters. There is also a possibility of strong winds in the central, eastern, southeastern, and western parts of the country. The warning is valid from September 4 to September 5.
The Disaster Management Authority has urged people to keep away from riverbanks and flood-prone areas and to follow the instructions of provincial committees to prevent potential incidents.
