The Ministry of Borders, Tribes and Tribal Affairs announced that, through the efforts of local officials, religious leaders, and tribal elders, a 16-year-long feud between several members of a family in the center of Urozgan province has been resolved and turned into a friendship.
The ministry further stated that the feud resulted in one fatality and significant financial losses for the involved parties.
Both sides have expressed regret for their past hostilities and, while thanking the leadership of the interim government, have committed to not creating any further obstacles for one another.
