The Afghan Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs has announced the peaceful resolution of a 16-year-long land dispute in Bamyan province’s Shibar district, transforming longstanding hostilities into reconciliation.

According to the ministry, the conflict, which stemmed from a dispute over a piece of agricultural land in the Balay Ghandak area, was mediated by Hafiz Mohibullah Sajjad, the province’s director of border, ethnic, and tribal affairs, along with local officials and community elders.

The dispute had led to significant tensions between the involved families and had even resulted in the death of one individual. However, through mediation efforts, both sides have agreed to set aside their differences and embrace peaceful coexistence.
