A passenger bus overturned on the Kabul-Kandahar highway near Arghandai, leaving 25 people dead and 27 others injured. The victims included women and children.
Interior Ministry spokesperson Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani confirmed the toll, stating that the bus was en route from Helmand to Kabul.
The incident comes just days after a similar tragedy on the Herat-Islam Qala highway, where nearly 80 people were killed when a passenger bus crashed and caught fire.
