Iran’s state news agency reported that security forces arrested 30 individuals last night in the city of Malard, near the capital Tehran, on charges of disrupting public order.

The report adds that these individuals allegedly misused the right to protest, created insecurity in the area, and disturbed public order.

Sources mentioned that police have identified several other individuals and are continuing efforts to detain them.

This comes amid ongoing protests across various parts of Iran in recent days due to inflation and economic hardships.
