The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints says its moral enforcers have rescued 38 women from various forms of abuse in the provinces of Khost, Paktika, Paktia, Jawzjan, Faryab, Nimroz, Sar-e Pol, and Ghazni.

The moral enforcers stated that these women had been subjected to mistreatment by their families for a long time, based on harmful traditions and baseless notions of honor, and had been deprived of all their Sharia rights.

They emphasized their full commitment to ensuring women receive their Sharia rights and stated that no one will be allowed to violate these rights.
