Abidullah Farooqi, spokesperson for the General Directorate of Border Police, stated that during the current Lunar year 1447, 90% of the border police personnel received professional training.
He added that, through these professional skills and conduct, the border forces achieved significant accomplishments at the country’s international airports, border crossings, and gates along the Disputed Line.
Mr. Farooqi further noted that this year, the border police reduced the smuggling of historical artifacts from the country to zero, and in addition to preventing the smuggling of foreign currency and precious stones, they also thwarted attempts to smuggle thousands of narcotic pills into the country.
The spokesperson also added that 287 suspects related to the above-mentioned cases and forgery have been arrested and handed over to the relevant authorities.
