A significant milestone was achieved in Balkh Province with the inauguration of a new oil refinery, an investment amounting to $50 million. According to the Balkh Provincial Office, this refinery was opened in the presence of local officials, investors, and businesspeople.
The refinery covers an impressive 50,000 square meters and has the capacity to process 600 tons of crude oil per day.
During the inauguration ceremony, local officials emphasized that the Islamic Emirate supports investments in the country. As part of this support, 200,000 jiribs (494,200 acres) of land have been designated for industrial zones, including 20,000 jiribs (49,420 acres) in Balkh Province alone.
