The Sluggish Politics of the Fallen Republic have Pushed Afghanistan to the Brink of a Pecipice

Just as the fallen republic was sluggish on the battlefield, it was also facing a crisis in the political arena. The regime’s spokespersons and officials would always express an anti-Pakistan stance in front of the media, but behind the scenes, deals were being made.

During the fallen republic, in 2015, the head of Pakistan’s ISI, Rizwan Akhtar, visited Kabul. A day before this visit, the National Security Directorate had arrested a gardener from the Pakistani embassy on charges of espionage and providing money to ISIS in Kunar, Nuristan, and Nangarhar, along with evidence and money. The National Security Directorate had been tracking this gardener for several months, but after his arrest, Hanif Atmar, the then advisor to the National Security Council, had requested Rahmatullah Nabil, the head of the National Security Directorate, to release the gardener.

Rahmatullah Nabil still did not release the gardener; Atmar told Ashraf Ghani that Nabil had arrested the gardener without cause, that Nabil was siding with India, and that he wanted to ruin our relations with Pakistan. Ashraf Ghani summoned Rahmatullah Nabil to his home and told him that the head of the ISI had informed him that he would not travel until the gardener was released. Consequently, he ordered Nabil to release the gardener for national interests, and he was released.

An active social media user and an employee of the defunct Republic’s National Security Directorate raised this issue on social media, attributing Nabil’s unfavorable behavior towards the incident to his isolation and resignation. The former head of National Security, Rahmatullah Nabil, also confirmed this incident in an online space, adding that it was a very minor example, and many similar incidents had occurred.

Rahmatullah Nabil also stated that an employee of the MTN company had recorded seven hundred thousand conversations for espionage purposes, was arrested after being identified, but the same employee was treated like a gardener and released.

The fallen republic, especially Ashraf Ghani, was sacrificing all national interests in the name of improving relations with Pakistan. Despite Afghanistan being under military occupation by the United States and NATO, Ashraf Ghani, in addition to making numerous accusations against Pakistan, was a close ally of that country.

Recently, Pakistani media reported that Ashraf Ghani made secret trips to Islamabad to mend his deteriorated relations with Pakistani officials. The report, citing Pakistani officials, stated that dealing with Ashraf Ghani is very easy.

Every deal made with countries and intelligence organizations by the fallen republic has pushed Afghanistan to the brink. On one hand, there was an unequal war against the Afghan faithful and Mujahid people by the occupiers and internal slaves, and on the other hand, hired officials were trading on every Islamic and national issue, which has plunged Afghanistan into a stormy wave of crises.

The sluggish politics of the republic allowed international spies to implement and strengthen every conspiracy in Afghanistan for two decades. Another important point is the support of the Sa’een Bel-Fasaad (ISIS) in Afghanistan through the Pakistani embassy, a foreign conspiracy that has been supported by Pakistan and several other countries, used at all times to destabilize Afghanistan.
