A deadly fire at the “Grand Kartal” hotel in northwestern Turkey has resulted in the deaths of at least 66 people and left 51 others injured, according to local media reports.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, January 21, at a ski resort in the Kartalkaya area.
Turkey’s Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, confirmed the death toll and number of injured individuals but provided no details about the cause of the fire.
Further investigations are underway regarding the exact number of casualties and the main cause of the fire.
