Reports indicate that a local police chief from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, named Bakht Nawaz, has joined the Pakistani Taliban, taking his official credentials and weapon with him.

The Pakistani government has released a photograph of the police officer and issued a statement urging authorities to prevent access to any posts or camps associated with him.

It is worth noting that the Pakistani Taliban has grown significantly stronger this year, inflicting severe casualties and financial losses on the Pakistani government through extensive attacks.
