    The Pakistani Taliban (TTP) has claimed responsibility for an attack on a police checkpoint in the Dawood Shah Banda area of Karak district. According to the TTP, their forces launched an attack on the Bahadur Khel police post, killing two officers and injuring six others.

    Since the beginning of 2025, attacks by the Pakistani Taliban on security forces have significantly increased. They have been carrying out near-daily attacks on military targets across various regions of Pakistan.
