Atta Muhammad Noor’s Stance on Afghanistan International TV; Will Separate the Way!?

Atta Muhammad Noor, who previously had close ties with Afghanistan International TV, would occasionally appear as a guest on that channel and considered it a substitute for the best media of the current time. Now, he has criticized this channel, raising questions among social media activists.

If the issue were merely a principled critique, he would have criticized it long ago and remained a systematic critic of that media outlet, but the sudden change indicates that there is some new deal.

Ata Mohammad Noor is a flexible politician who adapts himself to opportunities. He understands that Afghanistan International has harmed his political interests and has leaned towards supporting his political rivals and competitors. Ata Mohammad Noor feels that International gives weight to his political rivals, does not value his goals and does not represent his side, which is what Ata Mohammad Noor expects. Previously, this media outlet was aligned with his position, but now the influence of his rivals has risen in that media and Ata Mohammad Noor feels isolated within the Jamiat-e-Islami party.

Some time ago, Afghanistan International claimed that expatriate politicians did not meet with Pakistani representatives in Turkey. Apparently, this news seems to be against the interests of the Jamiat-e-Islami party. However, the leadership of the Resistance Front or lower-level individuals did not deny this news, but the reason is clear, Rabbani is in contact with Iran, Russia and even some Western factions. On the other hand, Ata Muhammad Noor is trying to gain support from Turkey, Pakistan and other regional players and factions, but he is increasingly being cornered by his rivals. This meeting with Pakistan was deemed meaningless and even denied. This forced Ata Muhammad Noor to raise his voice.

Atta Muhammad Noor is a controversial figure in Afghan politics, embroiled in a series of rivalries and competitions within his own party. His recent short and clear tweet of desperation and disappointment reveals that his rivals are a step ahead of him and the International Television network is also operating under various pressures, giving more importance to other opinions than his own.

Within the Jamiat party, his political rivals, such as Salahuddin Rabbani, the son of Burhanuddin Rabbani, who also claimed leadership of Jamiat, could isolate Ata Mohammad Noor if they gain international and domestic support. Rabbani has the backing of Ahmad Massoud, Bismillah Mohammadi and some other politicians, but despite this, Ata Mohammad Noor still hopes to be the main player in the north of country. However, under current circumstances, he is gradually being pushed to the margins. The first blow of this isolation to Atta Mohammad Noor was losing significance on international television.

His other rival, Ahmad Massoud, although he leads the Resistance Front, is supported by some former Jamiat members, not Ata Mohammad Noor; thus, he is forced to consider new paths. His tweet was the first step and further actions will follow, whether he distances himself from them, starts a new movement and organization, or leans towards the Taliban.
