At a gathering in the Loya Jirga Hall, organized by Shia citizens to support the interim government and strengthen national unity, a member of Afghanistan’s Shia Commission stated that the interim government’s general amnesty has conveyed a message of ending bloodshed and uniting all ethnic groups in the nation.

The member emphasized, “We are Muslims, Afghans, and part of Afghanistan. We support the interim government and appreciate its fair treatment of us as a single community, without any ethnic or linguistic discrimination.”

He praised the current security situation, noting, “Every day, our youth were dying due to drug addiction. The Islamic Emirate imposed a ban and focused on treating addicts. We extend special thanks to the Islamic Emirate for these achievements.”

Reflecting on the past forty years, he mentioned that efforts were made to divide Afghanistan’s ethnic groups under various pretexts. However, he asserted that the Islamic Emirate is now fully committed to uniting all communities.

He added that the purpose of this gathering was to highlight to Shia communities across 21 provinces the positive treatment they have received from the Islamic Emirate since the interim government’s establishment.
