The Recent Attack on a Religious Madrasa in Pakistan is the Result of Operational Coordination Between ISIS and Intelligence Networks

With the synchronization of operational capabilities between ISIS, the Resistance Front, and intelligence networks, targeted killings have simultaneously begun in Pakistan. These targeted killings are carried out in specific areas and against specific targets in Afghanistan and Pakistan through the joint operational capabilities of the Resistance Front, other opposing military groups, intelligence networks, and ISIS.

Recently, these groups, by coordinating their operational capabilities, carried out a suicide attack during Friday prayers at the Haqqania madrassa in Akora Khattak near Peshawar, resulting in the martyrdom of Hamid ul Haq, the son of Maulana Sami ul Haq, and causing casualties to several others as well.

ISIS and the Resistance Front, both supported by foreign triangles, particularly Pakistan, have also coordinated operational cooperation. During the last days of 2024, the head of ISI, Asim Malik, visited Tajikistan and promised the leaders of the Resistance Front and other opposing groups that, in addition to providing them with safe havens in Pakistan, their coordination with ISIS and other intelligence networks would also be increased.

These groups, which share many objectives, aim to destabilize the region, targeting and eliminating objectives provided by the Pakistani military and intelligence networks. ISIS, the Resistance Front, and other intelligence groups and networks that coordinate operations together are planning to target such objectives with the intent of showcasing their strength, making the attacks provocative, and thereby inflating their own significance.

The Resistance Front, which largely consists of trained officers from the fallen republic, and intelligence networks with active structure, assist in conducting operations with the ISIS group and enhancing their capabilities, as ISIS’s operational capabilities are severely weakened. Plans for targeted attacks between these groups and intelligence networks are made in Pakistan, in the hideouts of the ISIS group, which are under the strict protection, security, and surveillance of the Pakistani army and intelligence.

ISIS, the Resistance Front, and certain intelligence networks also have a joint mission to spread fear among the people so that they can undermine and instill terror in the minds and eyes of the public. Additionally, these two groups exploit sensitive issues and objectives to gain notoriety.

The attacks on madrasas and mosques by these proxy groups and intelligence networks are neither the first nor the last; they always target sacred places because their enmity towards the sacred and values is shared and longstanding.

By carrying out the recent bloody and horrific attack on the Haqqania madrasa, Pakistan may also want to show that ISIS is not coordinated with them and blame Afghanistan for the attack. However, no one can hide their eyes from this coordination, as on one hand, they have provided safe havens to these groups and are coordinating with the Resistance Front and intelligence networks for targeted killings, and on the other hand, Maulana Hamid al-Haq had also stated in a statement that Pakistan’s intention towards him is bad; he had also attributed the responsibility for his martyrdom to the Pakistani regime.
