Panjshir provincial authorities have confirmed that several Indian investors have shown interest in investing in the province’s mines.

Saifuddin Latoon, the spokesperson for the Panjshir provincial office, stated in an interview with the media that Indian traders involved in the precious stones sector recently met with the acting governor of Panjshir, Hazrat Mohammad Agha Hakim. During the meeting, the traders expressed their intention to encourage other Indian companies to invest in Afghanistan as well.

The traders presented their investment proposal for the mines of Panjshir to the governor, who welcomed the plan and assured them that the provincial government is fully prepared to assist both domestic and foreign investors in any way necessary.

It is important to note that since the interim government assumed power, the mining operations in Panjshir are being conducted entirely in accordance with legal and professional standards, with the revenues being directed to the country treasury.
