International media reports indicate that U.S. President Donald Trump will hold telephone talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin today, Tuesday, to discuss ending the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Sources have revealed that the discussions will cover issues such as Ukraine’s territorial concessions to Russia and the control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
Earlier, on Monday, Trump told reporters in Washington, “What is happening in Ukraine is not good, but we will strive for a peace agreement and a ceasefire, and I believe we will achieve this.”
Since Trump’s return to power, hopes for resolving the Ukraine conflict have surged, with multiple rounds of negotiations held in various countries.
