    Istanbul Mayor Arrested on Corruption and Terrorism Charges

    According to international media reports, Turkish authorities have arrested Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu on charges of financial corruption and terrorism.

    Turkey’s Prosecutor General’s Office stated that İmamoğlu and six others are accused of providing support to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

    Reports further indicate that approximately 100 other individuals were arrested alongside him.
