Local sources report that the Pakistani Taliban detonated a roadside bomb targeting an armored police tank in Dera Ghazi Khan district of southern Punjab. The explosion destroyed the tank, killing all Rangers personnel on board.
The attack comes as the Pakistani Taliban conducted vehicle inspections and search operations last night on the main road in the Tuntsa Sharif area of the same district.
The Pakistani government has yet to comment on the recent operations carried out by the Pakistani Taliban in southern Punjab.
