    National Statistics and Information Authority: Nearly Three Million Electronic ID Cards Distributed Last Year

    The National Statistics and Information Authority has announced that nearly three million electronic ID cards were distributed across the country during the previous solar year.

    According to the authority, a total of 2,634,600 electronic ID cards were issued to citizens in the year 1403 (solar calendar). Of these, approximately 1,930,000 were distributed to men, while over 705,000 were distributed to women.

    The report also outlined the distribution of electronic ID cards in various provinces: nearly 660,000 in Kabul, more than 200,000 in Herat, 190,000 in Kandahar, nearly 172,000 in Balkh, and over 117,000 in Nangarhar.
