According to reports, Russia’s Prosecutor General has requested the country’s Supreme Court to remove Afghanistan’s interim government from its blacklist.

The reports indicate that Russia’s Supreme Court is scheduled to convene on this matter on the 17th of this month.

Meanwhile, the interim government’s central spokesperson, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, praised the move in an interview with Russia’s TASS news agency, describing it as an essential step toward strengthening ties between Russia and Afghanistan.

It is worth noting that following the return of the interim government to power, senior Russian officials have repeatedly called for the resumption of relations with Kabul in international forums.
