TIME Magazine, which annually publishes its list of the 100 most influential individuals, has included Ahmad al-Sharaa, head of Syria’s new government, in its 2025 rankings.

In an article discussing his selection, it was highlighted that Ahmad al-Sharaa has swiftly taken steps to advance both his government and Syria’s development following the downfall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

Jessica Sibley, CEO of TIME, remarked that the individuals chosen for the list are those who “are shaping the world today and determining its future.”
