Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan, announced that a significant meeting between Russia and Afghanistan will take place next month on the sidelines of the Kazan Forum.

Kabulov confirmed that the Russian delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Ovruchuk, will engage in talks with senior officials from Afghanistan’s interim government during the meeting.

He stated, “It can be confidently said that a major meeting between Russia and Afghanistan will take place in mid-May, on the sidelines of the Kazan Forum.”

This announcement follows Russia’s decision to remove the Islamic Emirate from its list of banned organizations.
