According to a report by CNN, Kristi Noem, the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, had her handbag stolen while dining at a restaurant in Washington, D.C.
Sources revealed that security cameras at the restaurant, where the theft occurred, were reviewed by the U.S. Secret Service. The footage shows an unidentified white male, wearing a medical mask, stealing Noem’s handbag and leaving the restaurant.
Inside the handbag were Noem’s driver’s license, medication, apartment keys, passport, cosmetics, and approximately $3,000 in cash.
The incident has raised concerns in the U.S. over the increasing prevalence of criminal activities and thefts.
