Hakmal Saad, spokesperson for the Panjshir Provincial Police, announced in a press release that, during the month of Hamal (the first month of the solar Hijri year), the provincial police command’s division for Combating Criminal Offenses arrested 12 individuals in connection with various criminal activities.

According to Saad, nine individuals were arrested on charges of theft, while three others were detained on charges of homosexuality. Upon the completion of legal procedures, the detainees have been referred to the appropriate judicial authorities.

Panjshir Police Commander Qari Ahmadullah Badr emphasized that these actions aim to uphold the rule of Islamic law, ensure public safety, and conduct an impartial and decisive fight against criminals.

He assured the public that Panjshir’s security forces would not allow anyone to jeopardize the property, dignity, or security of the people.

Mr. Badr further stated that such actions by the police would continue to improve the security of Panjshir’s citizens and ensure criminals are held accountable under the law.
